- The official upgrade kit from Commodore contains a ROM that is jumpered
- from pin 1 to pin 31 (a wire soldered to the pins and running over the
- back of the ROM). For rev 3 through 5 motherboards its just
- plug-n-play. For rev 6a and above motherboards you cut the jumper.

- If the ROM they are selling doesn't have a jumper then you will have to
- add it yourself which is probably what the rep was telling you.

- Be advised, if there is no jumper on the ROM (or it has been cut) you are
- probably buying used merchandise.
